A Vegetation Remediation Plan (VRP), also known as a Vegetation Rehabilitation Plan is a document prepared by a suitably qualified Ecologist, containing a strategy mandated by local council, environmental departments or the NSW Land and Environment Court.
The purpose of a VRP is to detail the methods, timeline and contingencies required to restore native vegetation damaged by unauthorised clearing, landslips, or development. It outlines clear guidelines for site stabilisation, weed removal, soil erosion controls, soil treatment, and native planting, and monitoring and is often a requirement of NSW Land and Environment Class 4 Proceedings, or earlier, such as through a 'Prevention Notice' issued under section 96 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, or other Order.
Land Eco can prepare the VRP to help you meet your vegetation restoration requirements. We can also supply the services of our experienced Ecologists to act as an 'Expert Witness' in the NSW Land and Environment Court if required.
