The Land Eco Consulting Team is lead by experienced, Principal Ecologist and Accredited Biodiversity Assessor, Kurtis Lindsay. 

Kurtis builds on 15 years of ecological and environmental expertise. As the Principal Consultant of Land Eco Consulting, Kurtis assists his clients meet their project approval, compliance and delivery goals.

He has assisted hundreds of clients across all industry sectors, and all tiers of government from North Queensland to Southern New South Wales, Australia.

Kurtis was formerly the General Manager and Principal Ecologist at consultancy Narla Environmental. Kurtis grew that company from 1 to 25 staff within four years of management. Eventually Kurtis saw an opportunity to create a new consultancy centred on providing expert biodiversity advice to developers, home owners, industry and government, so in 2019 Kurtis left Narla and established Land Eco Consulting.

As an Ecologist Consultant, Kurtis has written and reviewed hundreds of Ecological Impact Assessments, Flora & Fauna Reports and Management Plans. He is experienced in implementation of the New South Wales Biodiversity Offset Scheme and has prepared multiple Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR) and BDAR Waiver Applications for clients across New South Wales.

His strength in botany and zoology, combined with his years of experience in Geographical Information Systems (GIS)  and reporting, has placed Kurtis among the most  experienced and sought after Ecologist Consultants in the industry. In light of this, Kurtis has been invited to appear as an expert adviser and land and environment court witness for development proponents and local government regulators.
